LMSPA impact report
LMS Kevin Shi at 2025 RTX Mathcounts National Competition
LMS Shines at the National Science Olympiad Tournament

The LMS Olympiad Team competed in the premier science and engineering competition in the United States, against the top 60 middle school and 60 high school teams, and they were incredibly successful. The team demonstrated incredible character, kindness, and hard work that should make all of us proud!

The middle school team finished in 9th place, earning a trophy and presentation on stage. This team medalled in 5 events, including 5th place in Codebusters (Chloe Zhang, Eric Tang, and Oishi Dasgupta), 5th place in Anatomy and Physiology (Ashley Tran and Zoran Pan), and 4th place in Agriculture Sciences (Selena Yang and Kelson Cui).  Even more remarkable, two events were National Champions, earning 1st in Mission Possible (Rube Goldberg event done by Alice Chang and Andrea Jeliazkova) and Hovercraft (Kelson Cui and Arjun Jain). Even more incredible, LMS had 10 events finish in the top 10, and 22 total events in the top 20. Truly a remarkable performance!

The middle school team is made up of Alice Chang, Oishi Dasgupta, Charlie Fan, Srihan Gandra, Andrea Jeliazkova, Jessie Liang, Eric Tang, Roger Tang, Ashley Tran, Zoran Pan, Miyasi Welivita, Bryan Yang, Alex Zhang, Chloe Zhang, Lily Zhou, Arjun Jain, Kelson Cui, Louis Shen, and Selena Yang.

The team is coached by Michael Clay (head coach), Dr. Hannah Shayer, Donna Matthews, Melody Frese, Reva Davis, Kelly Arl, Kelly Hake, Natalie Zook, Mark Biernbaum, and Dr. Megan Baebler.
