Scott Lackey Honored as Missouri Middle-Level Assistant Principal of the Year

Assistant LMS Principal Scott Lackey was recognized Tuesday night at an LMSPA event for being selected as the 2024 Dave M. Backer Missouri Middle-Level Assistant Principal of the Year. In addition to this state-level recognition, Mr. Lackey will also represent middle-level assistant principals nationally, and his influence will be felt far beyond our LMS walls.

Please take a moment to congratulate Mr. Lackey on his award by sending him a note HERE.

Photos Needed for 8th Grade Slideshow

8th grade parents: We'd like your help contributing photos for a slideshow that will be used at the 8th grade end of year party on May 3rd. We're looking for good quality photos of 8th Grade LMS kids, together, doing anything and everything inside and outside of school (please keep them clean and appropriate). We welcome photos and video clips from elementary school through 8th grade. Our goal is for every LMS 8th grader to be included in this slideshow. We prefer photos that have more than one student, if possible.

Please upload all photos/videos by March 14 to this Google Drive folder. Contact Cara Kopec at (217) 741-6912 if you have questions or issues submitting photos.

We will make the final video slideshow available digitally to all 8th grade families at the end of the school year.

New Ladue Schools Board Advisory Committee

LMS Parents and guardians - there is a new committee that you might be interested in! Do you have a child with an IEP? We need you!

The Ladue Special School District Parent Advisory Committee is a group of parents committed to collaboration and partnership for student success. This group meets quarterly to provide resources to families on topics of interest related to special education and provides a space for dialogue and supportive collaboration.

Our next meeting is January 28 at 6 p.m. at Ladue High School.

Have an 8th Grader Who Has Done Something Worth Recognizing?

We want to give a shout out to 8th graders who are doing amazing things this year! The only requirement is that what they are involved with is a group effort - as we want to be able to mention as many students as possible in the limited number of newsletters we release!  Please send your pictures along with a blurb to include to jamipalmerbrinton@gmail.com. Thank you!
